About the Journal
Journal of Complex Flow is a peer-reviewed journal which publishes 2 times a year, focuses on the publication of original and innovative research results that contribute to clarify complex flow phenomena.
The scope of the Journal of Complex Flow is the presentation of new significantly improved techniques for the numerical and experimental solution of problems in all areas related to complex flow. This is typically accomplished through advanced experimental and numerical modelling reflecting a combination of concepts, methods and principles which are often interdisciplinary in nature and span several areas of physics, mechanics, mathematics, computational methods and other scientific disciplines as well: the Journal seeks to emphasize methods that cross disciplinary boundaries for clarifying the phenomena of complex flow.
Contributions may report research that falls within the combustion phenomena in aerospace propulsion systems and energy apparatuses, mega to Nano-scale heat and mass transfer in complicated systems, combined flow and heat-transfer phenomena, flow induced sound for aeroacoustics, large-scale numerical simulation in fluid dynamics and theoretical modelling for universality and specialty of complex flow phenomena.
This includes research conducted in academia, industry and a variety of any other sectors. The emphasis is on originality, timeliness and quality and, as exemplified by the title of the journal and the qualifications described. Relevance to real-world problems and industrial applications are regarded as strengths.
Contributions may be full-length research and review manuscripts or short communications of no more than 6 printed pages. Short contributions are likely to benefit from rapid publication in the separate category of Short Communications. Published conference papers are welcome provided the submitted manuscript is a significant enhancement of the conference paper with substantial additions.
